Rental terms
How renting from AugerVault works, in plain language. These terms apply to every rental unless a signed master agreement says otherwise.

Rental periods & minimums
Every tool has three rates, and we bill the lowest combination for your rental length:

The minimum rental is one day, and partial days are billed as full days. Example: 10 days is billed as 1 week + 3 days, or 2 weeks if that is lower. The rental clock starts when the tool leaves our yard and stops when it is back at the yard.
Reservations & deposits
Online and phone reservations are requests until we confirm them in writing. We confirm availability within one business hour (Mon–Sat).
- Deposit: 25% of the replacement value of the rented tooling, minimum $500.
- Rentals up to 7 days: the deposit is an authorization hold on your card, released when the tooling is returned without damage charges.
- Rentals over 7 days: the deposit is charged by ACH or card at dispatch and refunded within 5 business days of a clean return.
- Approved net-30 accounts: no deposit.
Any damage, missing-tool or unpaid charges may be deducted from the deposit.
Confirmed reservations are held for 24 hours past the start date unless you tell us the job has moved.
Pickup & return
Pickup at the Doral yard (free)
Show your reservation QR code at the yard during business hours. The exact address comes with your confirmation. We load with a forklift; you are responsible for securing the load on your vehicle. Pole-line tools and skid-steer gear fit a 1-ton pickup or trailer; drilled-shaft tools, buckets and large casing twisters (up to about 3,200 lb) need a flatbed or equipment trailer.
AugerVault does not offer delivery. All tooling is picked up and returned at the Doral yard.
Tool condition at dispatch
Every tool is inspected by our partner welding shop and goes out with a full set of teeth. At dispatch you get a condition report with photos of flights and welds, kelly box or coupler, tooth count and wear, and straightness.
You have 2 hours from receipt to dispute the report. After that, return condition is assessed against the dispatch report.
Teeth & consumables
Teeth, holders and pilot tips are consumables. Tools are inspected on return, and teeth, holders and tips that need replacing are billed at the per-piece retail price:
- Premium 38 mm conical teeth: $90 each
- 25 mm bullet teeth: $19 each
- Skid-steer / excavator rock teeth: $17 each
- Flat-cut teeth: $10 each
- Holders / blocks: $26 each plus a $75 installation charge
- Pilot bit / stinger tips: $160 each
Teeth and holders are stocked at the yard so you can buy spares at pickup and swap them in the field.
Operating responsibilities
You agree to operate tooling within manufacturer specifications and industry practice, including:
- Matching the kelly box, coupler or hex to the tool before installation
- Not exceeding the rated torque of any tool, drive or adapter
- Using skid-steer drives only on machines with adequate high-flow hydraulics
- Not welding, grinding or modifying any AugerVault tool
- Not sub-renting, lending or transferring tooling to anyone else
Breaking these rules voids the damage waiver and makes the renter liable for full replacement cost.
Damage & loss
Damage beyond tooth, holder and tip replacement is billed at repair cost, or replacement value if it can't be repaired. Typical charges:

Replacement values are on the dispatch report and range from about $1,500 (kelly adapters) to $18,000 (48" cleanout buckets). Your insurance is the primary payer for damage and loss.
Optional damage waiver: 15% of the rental total. It caps your liability at $500 per incident, excluding gross negligence, misuse, theft and lost tools. It must be chosen at booking.
Returns & late fees
Return tooling to the Doral yard during business hours by the end of your rental.
- Up to 4 hours late: no charge
- 4–24 hours late: one additional daily rate
- More than 24 hours late without notice: 150% of the daily rate per day plus a $125 administrative fee
Need more time? Call before your end date — extensions are billed at the continuing tier.
Cleaning & grease
You don't need to wash tools before return. Tools returned with hardened grout, concrete or CLSM on the flights carry a $150 cleaning charge per tool. For CFA tooling, flush the grout tube right after use; a blocked tube is billed at $450. Greasing pins, couplers and joints during the rental is the renter's responsibility.
Insurance requirements
Before first dispatch, provide a certificate of insurance naming AugerVault LLC as additional insured, with at least:
- Commercial general liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate
- Inland marine / equipment floater: at least the replacement value of the rented tooling
- Workers' compensation: as required by Florida law

Payment terms
- New accounts: payment at dispatch by ACH, wire or credit card (3% processing fee).
- Approved accounts: net-30 via the credit application.
Past-due balances accrue 1.5% interest per month. Accounts more than 45 days past due are suspended until resolved. Prices exclude Florida sales tax.
Liability & governing law
AugerVault's maximum liability for any rental is limited to the rental fees paid for the affected tooling. AugerVault is not liable for consequential damages, lost profits, project delays or third-party claims arising from use of rented tooling.
The renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AugerVault LLC, its employees and its partner yards from claims arising from the renter's use, operation or transport of rented tooling, except where caused by AugerVault's gross negligence.
These terms are governed by Florida law, with venue in Miami-Dade County. A signed master rental agreement supersedes these terms where they conflict. The version in effect on your rental date applies.
